This year we have bought all kinds of stuff for the boat. Some we brought from home but most we had delivered to coordinate with our time in the boat yard. Some new anchor chain to replace our rusty old chain. See if you can spot the difference. A new EPIRB in case it all goes wrong New docking lines for when we don't want to go anywhere A new solar light for when we want to be seen. This was one of the interesting items in my suitcase from home. A new life raft for when we want a change of boat A new stand up paddle board (for clarity, shown in it's deflated state) And we have all new teak decks. This is imitation teak. I will make a whole other blog about how much I hate actual teak. Everything we ordered has turned up on time and been just what we had ordered, and works as advertised. Obviously this is deeply concerning as it is not usual boating experience. Unless something bad happens soon then it is likely something bad is probably going to happen.

For our first few days back in Spain we have been visiting our friends Sizie and Charlie. We did some exploring and ate too much, as usual. Here are a few places we visited. It's spring time here so everything is very green with lots of wild flowers in the fields. From here we head down to the boat.
We have just arrived back in Spain after a long flight from New Zealand. This is a photo of Kapiti island near where we live. So yes we are swapping one sea for another, slightly warmer one. It will take us about a week to get the boat ready and back in the water.
