One of the reasons we came over to the Soronic Gulf was to get away from the Meltemi wind. However it has been unusually windy here so our hopes have not been entirely fulfilled. This is Yerakas where we parked for the night. There are lots of ancient sites to visit along this coast. This is the ancient Acropolis of Zarax. We went to the island of Spetsai which is famous for bring very green and tree covered. Unfortunatley there had been a fire in the bay two days before. This is what it looks like normally. This is a bay on the other side of the island that escaped the fire. From there we went to Porto Kheli which is a very large sheltered bay packed full of boats. Good for a visit to the supermarket but very noisy at night with 4 nightclubs competing to be the loudest. We only stayed one night. It is less windy now but this means it has become very very hot. Can we have the wind back now please.

Good to see that travels are going well and you are getting good weather, even if it is windy. Our season has ended so no sailing in sight for a bit of time. Withdrawal symptoms on the way - must go have a rum!
